The introduction of Home Information Packs or HIP’s has been implemented. HIP’s will details all aspect of a property to a potential buyer from anything between what are the neighbours like? to the approximate heating bills of a property. With regards to heating and energy bills, most properties would benefit from a ground source heat pump being installed as these units are by far the most energy efficient systems available for space heating and hot water demand. The benefit of a ground source heat pump is that theses systems would lower energy bills by up to 75%, and in turn lower carbon emissions by up to 75%. Therefore the addition of a ground source heat pump into an existing property would be a welcomed asset to any HIP and buyers would be looking at this in a positive light.
